Let us supose you never owned a pug before, and you intend to breed them. As a sugestion, we recommend you to visit us at www.nabucopugs.com.br/about the pug. There you will learn important features about this particular breed of delicate health, that requires a specific management.

You will only get knowledge about the breed with experience. We recommend you to go step by step, in order to realize if you really want it.

First save some money. Then, with no hurry, look carefully for a good quality puppy to be your foundation bitch. She must be nice and healthy and come from a well known bloodline. Wait for her. It is not any garantee, as you are buying a promise, but don’t save your money for this. She will be you pet, you’ll give her tender, love & care, and she will live indoor.

She will be ready to breed in her third season. Select an excelent stud dog to breed her (usually by AI), from a respectable kennel and compatible pedigree. You’ll take her to where he lives, to breed her at least 3 times in different days.

But only when the babies arrive you will know if you want to have those nice little pugs at home again. Your pug bitch probably won’t mind her puppies, nor cleaning or nursing them (she just wants to be with you). So there is 90% of chance of you spending 45 days & nights nursing the puppies each 2 or 3 hours, cleaning and keeping them warm. You will learn about trouble in deliverance and high incidence of c-seccions. You will handle with puppie’s mortality (that increases if you don’t know what to do to avoid it), and you will cry so much at this time. You’ll also teach them patiently to eat mush food.

Two months after (and never before), you will try very hard to find responsible and loving owners who can afford those sensible puppies you love so much, because you spent so much time raising them.
Apart from the litters, you will provide your pug(s) a good quality life among humans, so that you can have a happy and healthy pet. A pug really depends on sharing your company and receiving love not to get ill.

If you worth the love your pug devotes to you, you will take care of him until the end of his life. If you are this responsible owner, only as time passes you will realize you did not have the payback money for breeding pugs. Because at this time you’ll have afforded his oldness, which is expensive, as they have much more problems as they grow old. It’s is a high investment to provide a pug all he needs to live healthy, to breed and lead to a worth oldness.

After all that, if you still intend to go on breeding pugs, you will be diagnosed a specific illness, not yet reported by human Medicine. A kind of sweet madness caused by the hypnosis pugs exert on their breeders by their high power of seduction.
